Combine the learning outcomes of Classical Drawing and Landscapes and More to build confidence in a structured process that carries work from drawing into articulate painting.

Students will learn classical drawing foundations through the Bargue Method, then apply related principles of proportion, value, colour, and form to a painting developed from a printed photo reference. Painting subjects may include landscapes, portraits, or still life, with precedence given to landscapes.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate artists.

* Drawing paper (same dimensions as canvas)
* Kneaded eraser
* White vinyl eraser
* HB pencils
* Skewer or knitting needle for measuring
* Masking tape and/or bull clips
* Printed photo reference
* Canvas paper or panel (same dimensions as canvas)
* Oil paints (3 primaries and white)
* Small (size 2), medium (size 6), and large (size 10) synthetic filbert brushes
* Small (size 2), medium (size 6), and large (size 10) bristle filbert brushes
* Palette
* Palette knife
* Linseed oil
* Rags or paper towel
* Container for brush cleaning
