Learn a structured process that moves from drawing into painting. Students will work from printed photo references while learning value, colour, and indirect painting techniques focused on one chosen subject, with precedence given to landscapes.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate artists.

Materials List:

* Drawing paper (same dimensions as canvas)
* Kneaded eraser
* White vinyl eraser
* HB pencils
* Skewer or knitting needle for measuring
* Masking tape and/or bull clips
* Printed photo reference
* Canvas paper or panel (same dimensions as canvas)
* Oil paints (3 primaries and white)
* Small (size 2), medium (size 6), and large (size 10) synthetic filbert brushes
* Small (size 2), medium (size 6), and large (size 10) bristle filbert brushes
* Palette
* Palette knife
* Linseed oil
* Rags or paper towel
* Container for brush cleaning
